FY25 Senate Appropriations Bill Statement

“The Fiscal Year 2025 Senate Appropriations Bill proposes an increase of $210 million for Amtrak compared to the current fiscal year, a strong commitment as demand for passenger rail continues to grow. This critical funding meets our required base needs, allowing Amtrak to continue operating trains and maintaining our railroad, while also helping to invest in the modernization of America’s rail network for the 21st century. We appreciate the committee’s continued support for passenger rail, and in particular, we thank Chair Murray, Vice Chair Collins, Chair Schatz, and Ranking Member Hyde-Smith for their strong and effective leadership.”
