Amtrak® Media Relations representatives provide information to and answer questions from members of the press. They do not place advertising or handle customer inquiries.

Telephone numbers and e-mail addresses below in the “Media Relations” tab are for use by members of the media only. Please use the tabs below to find the correct contact for marketing/advertising/sponsorship inquiries, commercial video/photo and real estate opportunities or customer relations feedback.

Media Contacts

Working press members should contact the media relations office representing their region (see the map and listings below). A representative is available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to handle inquiries and provide information regarding railroad operating emergencies.

Permission to Photograph

Amtrak recommends that permission in advance for news reporting and professional photography on Amtrak trains, at stations or on other Amtrak property be obtained from Amtrak Media Relations. Reporters and photographers should contact the media relations office in their region. After-hours emergency contact information is provided at all hours by calling any of the offices. Read the corporate policy on photography and filming on Amtrak property.

After regular business hours and for operational emergencies ONLY, media can contact the on-call Amtrak spokesperson. After hours: 5:30 pm – 8:30 am local time, Monday through Friday and weekends.

News media should telephone regarding breaking news; e-mail addresses below are for routine contacts during regular business hours and are not ordinarily monitored nights, weekends and holidays.
