Amtrak Expands Metropolitan Lounge Access With New Single Visit Pass

Amtrak Coach Class travelers can now relax and recharge in premium lounges before their trip

WASHINGTON – Amtrak has introduced expanded access to its premium, nationwide Metropolitan Lounge network with a new Single Visit Pass, now available for Coach Class guests to purchase at all locations. The Pass is available for $35 at the majority of Amtrak’s Metropolitan Lounges including Boston South Station, Chicago Union Station, Los Angeles Union Station, William H. Gray III 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, Portland Union Station, and Washington Union Station. At Amtrak’s flagship Metropolitan Lounge in Moynihan Train Hall at New York Penn Station, the Pass is available for $50. Amtrak Guest Rewards customers can also redeem their points online in advance for a Single Visit Pass for only 1,500 points.

All of Amtrak’s premium Metropolitan Lounges feature comfortable, quiet lounge seating, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and free Wi-Fi. Attendants are also available to assist with reservations, ticketing, local information, and more. In addition, access to complimentary conference rooms is available at select locations. Conference rooms are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lounge access remains complimentary for Amtrak Guest Rewards® Select Executive and Select Plus members, Acela First Class, and private room customers ticketed for same-day travel.  Guests who are interested in purchasing a Single Visit Pass can inquire at the front desk of any Metropolitan Lounge, or use their Amtrak Guest Rewards points to purchase a Pass online.
