The third new Amtrak Cascades trainset is on the move! 🚆

A little ASMR 🌧️🚆 as the third new Amtrak Cascades trainset departs Sacramento. A fitting soundtrack for equipment that will soon be right at home in the Pacific Northwest.

 

With manufacturing now complete, the third trainset is headed to the Northeast Corridor for testing. Each milestone brings us one step closer to introducing new equipment later this year.

This marks the third of 83 Airo trainsets with five more Amtrak Cascades trainsets still to come. Reaching this point reflects the dedication and coordination of teams across manufacturing, engineering, testing, and logistics. Their work continues to turn years of planning into real progress for passengers in the Pacific Northwest.
