Amtrak Offers 40,000 Bonus Points for New Amtrak Guest Rewards Preferred Cardholders

WASHINGTON – Amtrak has launched a limited-time offer for its Amtrak Guest Rewards® Preferred Mastercard® worth double the value for new cardmembers to earn for more travel and perks, including the opportunity to experience a handful of weekend getaways or an unforgettable cross-country trip. From now to Wednesday, April 30, 2025, new cardholders can now earn 40,000 bonus points, which is worth over $1,000 in Amtrak travel.

Cardholders receive their bonus points after application approval and making at least $2,000 in purchases within the first three billing cycles of account opening¹. New cardholders can apply at Amtrak.com/Offer.

Joining Amtrak Guest Rewards is free and members can immediately start earning points toward Amtrak reward travel and other redemptions, upon enrollment. Members earn two points per dollar spent on Amtrak travel, plus a 25% point bonus for Business Class travel and a 50% point bonus for Acela First Class travel. Members can book reward travel to experience Amtrak Across America with popular city pairs as few as 400 points. In addition, Amtrak Guest Rewards members with Tier status receive additional point bonuses on travel, as well as benefits to elevate the customer experience, including upgrades, lounge access and companion coupons.
