Amtrak Launches Limited Time 30,000 Bonus Points Offer for New Amtrak Guest Rewards Preferred Cardholders

Members can also earn 5,000 extra Tier Qualifying Points to accelerate reward benefits

WASHINGTON – Amtrak announced today a limited-time offer for its Amtrak Guest Rewards® Preferred Mastercard®. From Wednesday, June 12 to Wednesday, July 24, 2024, new cardholders can earn 30,000 bonus points – a 50% increase compared to the standard offer.

In addition, and for the first time, new cardholders will also earn 5,000 Tier Qualifying Points (TQPs), which count toward Amtrak Guest Rewards tier status: Select, Select Plus, and Select Executive. Earning these TQPs at sign-up accelerates how quickly customers can earn points that add up to rewards and reach a new tier. Additional TQPs are earned by traveling in Business Class or Acela First Class, or as a Preferred cardholder.

Cardholders receive their bonus points after application approval and making at least $2,000 in purchases within the first three billing cycles of account opening¹. New cardholders can apply at Amtrak.com/Offer.

Customers can redeem travel starting at just 400 points and earn points on all purchases anywhere Mastercard is accepted, plus three points per dollar spent on Amtrak travel, including onboard purchases.
