Auto Train Sale Offers Florida Fares as Low as $34 + Vehicle

Discounts on spring travel from the Northeast available until March 28

WASHINGTON – Amtrak is launching a limited-time sale for travelers to skip the stress of I-95 to Florida in favor of a convenient and relaxing trip aboard Auto Train. Through March 28, 2024, customers can book Coach Class for as low as $34 or a First Class private room for as low as $235, plus the cost of a vehicle. For those traveling with the whole family, fares for kids aged 2-12 start at just $17.

Customers traveling in Coach Class enjoy wide, reclining seats with plenty of legroom, no middle seat and a large window to enjoy the view. Prior to arrival, a complimentary continental breakfast is served.

For extra comfort and additional privacy, travelers can upgrade to a First Class private room. Accommodation options include a Roomette—featuring two comfortable seats that transform into upper and lower beds by night—or a Bedroom offering twice the space of a Roomette as well as an in-room sink, restroom and shower. All First Class customers receive priority boarding, a dedicated attendant and complimentary meals onboard.

The Amtrak Auto Train offers daily, non-stop service between Lorton, Va. (near Washington, D.C.), and Sanford, Fla. (near Orlando). Customers can travel with several types of vehicles—including cars, vans, SUVs and motorcycles. This train is the only such service in the U.S. and eliminates nearly 900 miles of driving between the Northeast and Florida.
