When one person purchases a Roomette, one companion can join them for free. The sale is available for purchase from Thursday, Oct. 1, to Sunday, Oct. 11. The offer is valid for travel from Oct. 4 – Dec. 17, 2020.

The Auto Train offers daily, non-stop service from Lorton, Va. (near Washington, D.C.), and Sanford, Fla. (near Orlando). Customers can skip I-95 and travel with their vehicles, including cars, vans, SUVs, motorcycles and even small boats or jet-skis. This is the only such service in the U.S. and eliminates nearly 900 miles of driving between the Northeast and all points in Florida.

For customers seeking both privacy and savings, Roomettes feature two comfortable seats by day and upper and lower berths by night. Inside the room, customers will find newly upgraded bedding, pillows, towels and linens. Customers will also have access to a private restroom and shower down the hall and a dedicated Sleeping Car attendant during the trip. All Roomette customers receive complimentary traditional dining service with wine and a continental breakfast prior to arrival.

Amtrak is leading the way by setting a new standard of travel with enhanced safety and cleaning measures. In an effort to simplify and safeguard the travel experience, several cleaning, contact-free and convenience measures have been implemented into every part of the customer journey, including:

• Enhanced cleaning: Amtrak has enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols at stations and onboard our trains
• Face coverings: For your well-being and ours, Amtrak requires that all customers and employees wear a face mask or covering that fully covers the entire mouth and nose while onboard and in stations. 
• Air Quality: All trains are equipped with onboard filtration systems with a fresh air exchange rate every 4-5 minutes.
• Physical distancing: Signage has been displayed at our busiest stations to indicate safe distances in high traffic areas. In addition, protective plastic barriers have been installed at customer counters at our busiest stations.
