Skip the traffic and enjoy a stress-free journey
WASHINGTON – Amtrak is inviting customers to experience travel in a unique way this summer – travel on the Auto Train and take a vehicle along. The time to book has never been better with the latest sale: 20% off private Roomettes available for purchase June 9 – 24, 2020. The offer is valid for travel from June 15 – Aug. 31, 2020.
The Auto Train offers daily, non-stop service from Lorton, Va. (near Washington, D.C.), and Sanford, Fla. (near Orlando). Customers can skip I-95 and travel with their vehicles, including cars, vans, SUVs, motorcycles and even small boats or jet-skis. This is the only such service in the U.S. and eliminates nearly 900 miles of driving between the Northeast and all points in Florida. The Auto Train is the longest passenger train in the world with two locomotives and 40-plus passenger rail cars and vehicle carriers.
Roomettes offer a great way to maintain physical distance while traveling aboard the Auto Train and feature two comfortable seats by day and upper and lower berths by night. Inside the room you’ll find newly upgraded bedding, pillows, towels and linens. You will also have access to a private restroom and shower down the hall and a dedicated Sleeping Car attendant during your trip. All Roomette customers receive complimentary traditional dining service with wine and a continental breakfast prior to arrival.
This offer is available on Amtrak.com and the Amtrak app. To receive the discount, enter promo code V528 in the fare finder when booking your trip. The offer is subject to availability and an advanced reservation of at least three days is required. Other terms and conditions apply.
As America gradually reopens, Amtrak is leading the way by setting a new standard of transportation. In an effort to simplify and safeguard the travel experience, several cleaning, contract-free and convenience measures have been implemented to every part of the customer journey — from time of booking to the moment of arrival.
