The Susquehanna River Rail Bridge is a critical link along the Northeast Corridor (NEC), which is the busiest rail line in the United States. The existing bridge creates a bottleneck in train capacity and restricts speed along the NEC. The Susquehanna River Rail Bridge Project will improve rail connectivity along the NEC by replacing the two-track bridge with four tracks over the Susquehanna River between the City of Havre de Grace in Harford County, Maryland and the Town of Perryville in Cecil County, Maryland.
