Issues RFQ Seeking Developer Partner

PHILADELPHIA – As part of its ongoing work to enhance the customer experience at Philadelphia 30th Street Station, Amtrak announced today it is seeking a master developer partner to update the historic station. With the release of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ), Amtrak begins a two-phase process that will result in the selection of a preferred developer who will assist in: introducing new customer amenities, reinvigorating the retail and commercial potential of the station, enhancing transit and pedestrian circulation and expanding the station’s concourses to accommodate anticipated increases in ridership.

Amtrak Works with Discover Global Network to Offer Customers New International Credit Card Options

Amtrak is now accepting Diners Club International, JCB and UnionPay credit cards as payment options for Amtrak travelers.

The credit cards, which are part of the Discover Global Network, are accepted through Amtrak’s multiple payment channels including Amtrak.com, Amtrak mobile apps, Quick-Trak kiosks, staffed stations (where available) and by calling 1-800-USA-RAIL.

Amtrak Launches FindYourWay App to Help Passengers Navigate New York Penn Station

Available for iOS and Android, app will share real-time boarding information, streamlining commuter transit

NEW YORK – Amtrak today announced that it launched FindYourWay, a real-time customer information beacon technology-enabled app, for exclusive use inside New York Penn Station. The app provides real-time gate, train, and boarding information for Amtrak customers and also helps direct passengers throughout the station to find gates, exits, ATMs, and restaurants. FindYourWay is currently available for free download on both iOS and Android operating systems.

Lyft is “All Aboard” as Presenting Sponsor of the 2018 Amtrak Winter Park Express

A new partnership between Winter Park Resort, Amtrak and Lyft offers a stress-free way to get to the slopes this winter, starting Jan. 5. As the Presenting Sponsor, the popular rideshare service Lyft will offer new customers an AMTRAKLYFT promo code for $5 off their first four rides. Customers can also select a larger vehicle for their boards and skis, plus be dropped off and picked up at Denver Union Station. From there, Amtrak avoids the traffic snarls on I-70 and US-40 to reach 3,081 acres of the best terrain in Colorado.

Amtrak Announces Work To Refresh And Modernize New York Penn Station Restrooms

Amtrak today announced that restrooms on the Amtrak concourse at New York Penn Station are receiving a refresh. Work on the women’s restroom will begin starting Monday, October16. Following completion of the women’s restroom, the refresh of the men’s restroom will begin. The restroom project is the first of several improvements Amtrak is planning for the station, and is expected to be completed by Spring 2018.
