Amtrak Auto Train

For a limited time, discounts available for adults and kids

WASHINGTON – Amtrak is launching a limited-time flash sale for summer travelers who want to skip the hassles of I-95 and bring their vehicle aboard the Auto Train [1]. Discounted one-way fares in Coach—as low as $19, plus the cost of a vehicle—are available for purchase May 31—June 8, 2023. For those traveling with the whole family, fares for kids aged 2-12 start at just $9.50.

Customers traveling in Coach enjoy wide, reclining seats with plenty of legroom, no middle seat, easy access to electrical outlets and a large picture window to enjoy the view. Prior to arrival, a complimentary continental breakfast is served. Plus, all Auto Train Coach car interiors have now been refreshed [2] with new seating cushions and upholstery, carpeting and window curtains.

For extra comfort and privacy, customers can book a First Class private room [3]—offering priority boarding, complimentary meals onboard, a dedicated attendant and newly upgraded bedding, pillows, towels and linens.

The discounted Coach fare is valid for sale May 31—June 8, 2023. Travel dates are June 1, 2023 – Sept. 4, 2023 with no blackout dates. A one-day advance purchase is required, and other restrictions apply. To see full details and book, visit Amtrak.com/AutoTrainSale [4].

The Amtrak Auto Train offers daily, non-stop service between Lorton, Va. (near Washington, D.C.), and Sanford, Fla. (near Orlando). Customers can travel with several types of vehicles—including cars, vans, SUVs and motorcycles. This is the only such service in the U.S. and eliminates nearly 900 miles of driving between the Northeast and Florida.
