Limited-time sale for travel on the Auto Train
WASHINGTON – Amtrak is inviting customers to experience the comfort and convenience of a sleeping car aboard the Auto Train. The time to book has never been better with our latest sale: one person in a group of two can travel for free. This sale is for a Roomette or Bedroom andis available exclusively on Amtrak.com from July 22 to July 29. The special offer is valid for travel from Jan. 15 to March 22, 2020.
The Auto Train offers daily, non-stop service from Lorton, Va. (near Washington, D.C.), and Sanford, Fla. (near Orlando). Customers can skip I-95 and travel with their vehicles, including cars, vans, SUVs, motorcycles, and even small boats or jet-skis. It is the only such service in the U.S. and eliminates nearly 900 miles of driving between the Northeast and all points in Florida.
“We recognize the need to get more out of every moment and customers will enjoy a stress-free journey by train,” Amtrak President and CEO Richard Anderson said. “With our sleeper sale, customers can share the experience and take advantage of the changes and enhancements we are bringing to the Auto Train.”

The Auto Train is the longest passenger train in the world with two locomotives and 40-plus passenger rail cars and vehicle carriers. While traveling, customers can move around the train, visit the lounge car for beverages or snacks and relax in the comfort of a private room.
Roomettes and Bedrooms are complete with bed linens, pillows, temperature controls, lights, bed-side storage nooks, electrical outlets, huge double-decker windows, and a fold-down table. A dedicated train attendant makes up and take down the beds, assist with luggage, notify customers when their stop is close and share great stories of life on the rails.

This offer is subject to any restrictions and cancellation rules that apply to the type of fare purchased. Rooms must be cancelled at least 15 days prior to scheduled departure for a refund and a 25 percent cancellation fee applies. Rooms cancelled less than 15 days prior to scheduled departure will receive a non-refundable eVoucher and a 25 percent cancellation fee will apply. Other restrictions may apply.
