WASHINGTON – Amtrak is announcing its new summer sale, “Amtrak Across America” to help customers visit some of the country’s best and most popular vacation spots for up to 30 percent off a standard fare. This special fare is available exclusively for on Amtrak.com from Tuesday, June 5 through Thursday, June 7 and valid for travel from Monday, July 9 to Friday, November 16.
Additionally, the sale is applicable for travel to numerous destinations across the country, including small towns and large cities. For bicycle enthusiasts, the sale takes place during Amtrak’s busiest period of the year for bike travel – in FY17, Amtrak carried 26,423 bikes across its national network from June through September. In addition, for only $25, cats and small dogs (20 pounds or less) are welcome for trips up to seven hours on most routes.

Other popular trains included in the sale are the Auto Train, Capitol Limited, Cardinal, Empire Builder, Lake Shore Limited and Texas Eagle. Customers can sit in comfort, instead of traffic, with large spacious seats, no middle seats, ample legroom, the freedom to move around, and Wi-Fi on many train services.
