The busy summer travel season is quickly approaching. Amtrak is ready to take families on vacation to more than 500 destinations throughout the country. With large spacious seats, and plenty of space to stretch out or get up and move around, Amtrak is the convenient and easy way to travel. Customers are encouraged to book early with Saver Fares and save up to 20 percent on many trains. There are standard everyday discounts for everyone: kids (ages 2-12) ride 50 percent off, students and seniors (62 and over) receive a 15 percent travel discount.
