Amtrak Advances Work to Improve New York Penn Station Passenger Concourse

As part of continued efforts to improve the passenger experience at New York Penn Station, Amtrak announced the selection of AECOM, in partnership with Network Rail, to conduct an independent review of the interaction, coordination, and collaboration between the railroads’ various passenger concourses within Penn Station and provide recommendations to improve the design, functionality, communications, and coordination at this critical station.

Amtrak to Continue Providing Service to Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Under New Agreement

Amtrak and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) have reached a new agreement governing the operation, maintenance and use of the 37.9-mile Attleboro Line, between Boston and the Rhode Island state line. Amtrak will provide maintenance-of-way and dispatching services on the line through 2021.
