Amtrak is making it easier for people to travel to the Presidential Inauguration on Jan. 20 and surrounding activities by offering additional trains and seating capacity in the days before and after the event.
With less than a month until the first train pulls out of Denver’s Union Station, CenturyLink has joined Amtrak and Winter Park Resort to become the presenting sponsor of the weekend rail service from Denver to the base of Winter Park Resort, now formally known as the Amtrak Winter Park Express presented by CenturyLink. As part of the sponsorship, three cars and one locomotive will be wrapped in the CenturyLink brand and will be used as part of Amtrak California Zephyr service prior to the Winter Park Express’ inaugural journey on Jan. 7.

Santa will trade in his sleigh and eight tiny reindeer for vintage rail cars and an 874,346-pound steam locomotive decked out for the holidays at the first-ever Holiday TrainFest and Toy Drive at Los Angeles Union Station.

Amtrak announced today the expansion of its pets program on the Vermonter, allowing more options for customers to travel with their pets just in time for the holidays.
