“Deputy Chief Dugan brings a wealth of law enforcement knowledge to the Amtrak Police Department as the new Deputy Chief of Patrol for the Central/Southwest/Pacific regions of Amtrak,” said Chief Hanson.
During his long career, he championed many causes and provided essential leadership to improve the country’s transportation infrastructure in order to advance economic growth, increase mobility and connect the nation.
To assist communities looking for ways to build, improve, redevelop or restore train stations to support the growing demand for passenger rail service, Amtrak is hosting its tenth Civic Conversation in Portland, Ore., to share its expertise and experience with local leaders. Since 2007, approximately 130 Amtrak-served communities have participated in these one-day conferences.
