New Benefits for Frequent Amtrak Travelers

WASHINGTON – Amtrak Guest Rewards® announced today the launch of Select Executive, its newest tier status for members who earn 20,000 or more Tier Qualifying Points in the calendar year. The new tier launched on January 1, 2013.

Select Executive tier benefits include:

  • 100% tier point bonus on Amtrak® travel
  • Select Executive Welcome Kit, including a new member card, 4 one-class upgrade coupons and 2 complimentary companion fare coupons
  • Select Executive Earned Upgrades
  • Unlimited access to ClubAcela®, Amtrak Metropolitan LoungeSM, First class lounges and United Club locations
  • Unlimited Buy and Share points
  • No annual Transfer points limits
  • Auto-registration for promotions
  • Exclusive Select Executive priority customer service phone number

As always, Select Executive members will continue earning 2 points per $1 spent on Amtrak travel, 500 points with each Acela® Business class trip between select city pairs, bonus points with special promotions and partner deals, and will benefit from “Rule Buster” award availability for redemption travel during blackout dates and access to special events and exclusive redemption opportunities.

Amtrak Guest Rewards members who earn 5,000 to 9,999 Tier Qualifying Points in the calendar year qualify for Select status, which includes 25 percent tier point bonus on Amtrak travel among other Select member-only offers and exclusive deals. Members who earn 10,000 to 19,999 Tier Qualifying Points in the calendar year qualify for Select PlusSM status, which includes 50 percent tier point bonus on Amtrak travel among other Select Plus member-only offers and exclusive deals from Amtrak Guest Rewards partners. Select Executive members will receive all of the Select and Select Plus benefits and more.
